1. Describe the scene & what you see.

I see a little boy being illuminated by sunlight in an otherwise dark jungle like setting.

2. What makes the picture psychologically powerful?

It looks like there’s another group of boys in the very distant background and he is alone looking up examining something. This signifies that he isn’t really part of the group behind him, but is more of a lone wolf.

3. How is he using light?

The sunlight is coming through the trees and creating streaks. I’m assuming that he used a fog machine to create more streaks. 

4. What is one thing that stands out?

For the thing that stands out to me, I am going to choose the group of boys in the background. This is because they are very faint, almost unnoticeable. They also tie into the psychological powerful element.
